AUSTIN — The Environmental Partnership, an initiative of over 80 U.S. oil and natural gas companies, has released its second annual report showcasing the industry’s progress in innovation and emissions reductions.
“The industry-led Environmental Partnership is doing impressive work and making real progress in reducing emissions and improving environmental performance,” said Todd Staples, president of TXOGA. “The Partnership’s expansion into the midstream segment and its tripling of company participation since its inception only two years ago demonstrate the commitment and enthusiasm of the oil and natural gas industry to come together to share best practices and harness the innovation that will deliver our cleaner, stronger energy future.”
“Industry-led initiatives like The Environmental Partnership coupled with investments in innovation and technology have allowed companies in the Eagle Ford Shale to produce oil and meet demand in cleaner, more efficient ways than ever before,” said Stephanie Moreno, Executive Director of STEER. “I’m proud of the companies that comprise STEER who continue to maintain high environmental standards as they find new methods of producing the abundant, reliable and affordable energy that contributes to the wellbeing of all South Texans.”
