Oxy announced it would sell parts of Anadarko Petroleum once its deal to acquire the company is complete.
In addition to Anadarko’s LNG assets in Africa, Oxy said it plans to put the company’s Gulf of Mexico production and midstream assets up for sale in the coming months.
Competing bills designed to reform the Texas Eminent Domain laws died on the final day of the legislative session on Monday, as negotiators in the House and Senate were unable to agree to a final bill.
This was the third straight session in which an effort at reform was attempted, and this result ensures the issue will arise again when the legislature meets in 2021.
