Here are your oil and gas statistics for the past week:
There were 1,050 oil rigs in operation in the United States. Texas sits at 521 oil drilling rigs in operation.
The Texas Railroad Commission issued 364 drilling permits last week to bring the 10-week rolling average up to 280 last week.
Natural gas prices saw a $0.49 jump, averaging $3.49 per mmbtu.
Oil prices rose for the fourth week in a row, climbing $1.34 to average $52.30 per barrel. However, despite the gains in crude prices, gasoline prices have held steady for the last two months with Texas averaging $1.93 per gallon, and the U.S. averaging $2.24 per gallon.
