The United States had 1,051 drilling rigs in operation at the end of last week – an increase of two rigs from the prior week.
Texas ended last week with a total of 509 drilling rigs in operation.
The Texas Railroad Commission issued 267 drilling permits last week to bring the 10-week rolling average to 287.
Natural gas prices ended the week at an average of $2.61 per mmbtu.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude prices gained $0.55 to close the week at an average price of $53.99 per barrel.
Gasoline prices across Texas gained $0.06 to end last week at an average of $2.05 per gallon.
